Your Guide to October in Prince Edward County

Hello Everyone,

It’s time to breathe. Summer is over, and I guess we are officially in Fall mode, but the sun is still shining, and there is warmth, so let it continue.

We’re winding down here at Lilac Lane after another busy and boisterous season. We’ve met some lovely guests from across Ontario, and some from abroad, and the beauty of the County continues to impress, as do the artists, farmers, makers, vintners, writers, musicians, and all who call it home. Our visitors have enjoyed Lilac Lane, love the colourful art around our home from around the world, and breakfast. We have wonderful access to produce, some of which we grow, and I love to cook, so there’s always a new recipe to try. Pear jam is on the horizon this weekend, but what I love the most is the art of conversation, which is forever flowing. We bring together our views, experiences, joys and laughter. So, even though we’re winding down for this season, I can’t wait to welcome new friends and visitors and excite them with all the highlights of the County, which continue to delight and surprise me. Thank you for visiting
